We drove for a few hours and found ourselves on the north rim of the Grand Canyon passing Lee’s Ferry which brought back memories of fishing there with my dad (Rachel’s grandfather). It was my dad’s favorite fishing spot in Arizona. The Kaibab Plateau treated us to a refreshing rain shower, a secluded and private campsite along the Arizona Trail, several deer and a fun dinner of Ceasar salad and beanies and weenies. A relaxing sunset walk produced our first deer sighting. Pictured is Rangel’s omelette (two eggs, turkey, cheese and proscuitto). Another steep bike ride gave us glimpses of the Grand Canyon and a Kaibab deer with large antelors. Would love to stay, but there is so much more to see. Qdaddy & Rachel.
Oh, the North Rim is the most beautiful part of the grand canyon! What great memories!
What fun memories you are making! Biking and hiking – a great trip so far. And a scraped knee or two make for a good story. =)
